Q. Tiny’s has been popular for years. What makes it so great?
A. Our customers. You can stop anywhere to get a beer; it’s the people that make a place great. The bar is cozy and patio is great, but people come here to see each other and have a great time.
Q. How many years has Tiny’s been around anyway?
A. This year marks 36 years of partnership for owners Rog, Rich and Curt. The three began as friends working together in construction. “We were young and wanted to do something different,” says Rog. “We learned that this little beer bar was for sale, so we bought it.”
Q. How did the Broncos theme come about?
Tiny’s was a sports bar before ‘sports bars’ were invented. “We just did what we liked. We liked sports, especially the Broncos, so we brought in some TVs to watch, painted the front door orange and put ‘Broncos’ on it,” he laughs. “We figured people would love it or hate it. Turns out they loved it.”
Since then, Tiny’s has become the ‘go to’ place for all things Broncos. Rog notes that there are 80-100 autographs on the bar’s Broncos mural from players who have stopped by over the years.
Q. How did you come up with the idea for Tiny’s famous Scooneys?
A. “Again, we were young. It was the 80’s and the whole nation was in a recession,” remembers Rog, “People were cutting costs all over the place, but we decided to go bigger. We loved the huge glasses, so we bought them.”
Q. How has Tiny’s changed over the years?
A. “We’ve done a little remodeling and, of course, added the patio,” Rog says. “We’ve also grown the catering side of the business. Other than that, we’ve kept it simple. We go with what we like and what our customers enjoy.”
Q. Tell us about your relationship with Graphic Imprints.
A. “We’ve worked with Graphic Imprints for more than 15 years. They have lots of lines of high-quality gear, so you’re never stuck with just one thing,” says Rog. “They’re creative, which is important to us. They take the time to make sure we’re on the same page help us find things we ‘can’t live without.’ I’d recommend them to anybody.”
