Q&A with Big Sky Pride

Q: What is Big Sky Pride?
A: Big Sky Pride is a non-profit organization that works year-round to promote full equality of all human beings regardless of gender or sexual orientation, including LGBTQ. Though established in 2014, Montana has held Pride events for 26 years. Current Vice President, Kev Hamm, took the reins in 2014 following a lapse in the organization’s leadership. Nationwide, Pride-related events and materials are often associated with a rainbow. The array of colors reflects the diversity of the LGBTQ community.
Q: June is Pride Month. What does that mean?
A: In June of each year, Big Sky Pride and advocacy groups like them take a break to celebrate their hard work and the progress made toward equality. Big Sky Pride hosts a celebration in a different major city in Montana each year, which consists of anywhere from 45-70 events.

Q: How did Big Sky Pride find Graphic Imprints?
A: Graphic Imprints was a local vendor during the 2017 events held in Billings. Things went so well that they’re now a vendor of choice for the organization. “They’re so easy to work with and their adaptability is unmatched,” says Kev Hamm. “We can ask for anything – even a very odd, really specific thing – and it’s never a problem.” As the owner of three businesses and the active VP of a non-profit organization, Kev doesn’t have time to follow up with vendors to keep them on track. “One call and it’s done,” he says. “They have an outstanding variety of high-quality products available and we can always count on them to deliver on time and within our budget.”
