Q: What is the NILE?
A: NILE stands for Northern International Livestock Exposition. This non-profit organization was started in 1967 by a group of area businessmen and cattlemen who wanted to encourage long-term public support of agriculture through education. According to the Chamber of Commerce, NILE attendees spend an average of $9.5 million dollars on food, lodging and purchases in Billings each year.
Q: Why is the future of agriculture important?
A: Agriculture feeds and supplies the world. In an increasingly busy, concrete-lined world, it’s easy for people to take food and other products for granted. If we don’t understand where our food and other products come from, we fail to preserve the land and processes needed to grow the crops and animals that make our modern world go around.
Q: Is the rodeo the only NILE event?
A: No. There are three major NILE events annually
- NILE rodeo and stock show
- M.A.T.E. show
- PBR
Q: What does Graphic Imprints do for the NILE?
A: “Graphic Imprints does all of our award jacket embroidery and most of our cups, caps and other promotional items,” says Jennifer Boka, NILE General Manager. “They are constantly providing us with a quality product in a timely manner that is on trend in the marketplace.”
